Mark had double hernia surgery on March 22, 2017.

He had it with Dr. Hansen a general surgeon at Riverton Hospital.
Dr. Hansen operates at Lone Peak Hospital, where his office is located
but that hospital won't take Select Health insurance.

The hospital admitted Mark the day before the surgery, but didn't
put him on the surgery schedule.  We were up at 6:00 a.m.
trying to work out the surgery schedule bit, and they didn't take
him into surgery until 12:15 p.m.  We didn't leave the hospital until
4:15 p.m. and it is a long ride home after surgery.

  1. I am commenting rather than adding a new post. The surgeon did NOT represent accurately the facts of this operation. He said you would only need pain medication for three to four days which was totally wrong. Mark was unable to hardly move for over eight days. On Thursday, eight days after the surgery he lamented the fact that he I had to go everywhere alone. He went to Walmart with me on that day. On Saturday he drove to Macy's in Provo to but food he wanted, and by Sunday, eleven days AFTER the surgery he could finally get on and off the couch and in and out of bed. At any rate the recovery from a double hernia is NOT quick.
