Jacob and Ellie were the only ones to participate in todays 5K race.  Natasha and Roxy Went to the
race for support and took photos.

RACE ROUTE FOR 2013

The race starts and ends at the Springville High School: 1205 East 900 South. Goes East along River Bottom Road, north along Cove Street (2400 East), then West along Canyon Road, South on 1700 East, then west again on 900 East to the high school, finish around the track.

Early Bird Registration Fee (ends May 24): $ 8.00
Pre-registration Fee (ends Thursday, May 30): $11.00
Race Day Registration Fee: $15.00
Registration opens at 6:30 a.m. & closes at 7:25 a.m.
All runners in the 70-over category are FREE!

$1.00 from each entry will be donated to a United Way Partner. You may pre-register by mail or in person at the Nestlé® Plant, 815 West Raymond Klauck Way, Springville, Utah. DOOR PRIZE DRAWING AFTER THE RACE!!!!

Trophies or plaques will be awarded to the first 3 finishers in each category. Walkers are always welcome, but this is not a trophy category. The passenger category is also not a trophy category. Participant ribbons will be awarded to all entries under six, in lieu of trophies. Jacob and Susan ate at Pizza Hut Friday Night May 23

Pizza Hut has a new Crazy Cheesy Crust Pizza, which Jacob says is really good.

He and Susan got the Pizza from Pizza Hut by Walmart in Springville.

That is what happens when you live in a town without a Pizza Hut.  (Susan and Nathan)

Anthony has perfect invention for two and three year olds

Anthony figured out if you prop the refrigerator door open with something, it
is lots easier to do what you want in the refrigerator.

Noah was taking a bath and the hot water was dripping and I told him it
was hot.  He moved closer to the faucet and started blowing on the water
to cool it off so it wouldn't be too hot.

Carly gave a talk on Tithing in Primary today

Carly called last night at 9:30 p.m. to ask me to write a talk on baptism for her to give today.
She was on her way to bed.

New computer discovery. . . . .If you type in "lds.org tithing Primary" on a Google search
you get all the primary lessons on tithing in the search results.  Each lesson is separately
listed in its own link, including activities, etc.

Jacob has been sick since Roxy was born

Jacob said he has been sick since last weekend.  Roxy was born Friday.  He
has a sore throat.  Jacob went to Insta Care on Wednesday and they said
he didn't have strep throat.  He didn't miss any work, which means he
may have shared whatever he has extensively.

Roxy went to the pediatrician and he said she was in good health.

Ellie was sick the week before Roxy was born.  Ellie had a runny nose
and cough.  She is better now.

Hopefully they will all be well tomorrow.

Adam has the red Pontiac car driving. . . . .

Adam put a different engine in the red Pontiac that has been sitting in his driveway
not working for at least two years.

He has a temporary sticker and I got to take a test drive with him today.  It really
drives, with a few little bugs to work out.  He hasn't tried the inspection process yet.

Anthony fell asleep while taking the test drive with us.

We went to  2 car washes and neither of them were working, so the car
still needs to be washed.

Roxie Jane Burdett 8 lb 4 oz.

                                         Roxie was born sometime after 7:30 a.m. this morning.  Jacob thinks she
                               looks like her sister.

I have 781 Nintendo Games on my computer with a Nintendo controller

Anthony played the Nintendo games.  Evidently, Nintendo didn't make lots of games
for two year olds.

Noah is more content to hold the control and not care what happens.

They spent several hours playing Bugs Bunny Castle Blowout.  They shared and Anthony
let Noah hold the control without fighting.

I think we should start stock piling Nintendo controls.  I am not sure this one is
working well.

I can play Dr. Mario, but the control won't work on PAC MAN.
It doesn't do so well on Bugs Bunny either.

Ellie has Ashley's Wedding Invitation.

Natasha looked at the Wedding Invitation for Ashley, noticed that Jacob will be working that night, and then put it on the refrigerator high enough Ellie could not get it.

Ellie waited until Natasha wasn't looking and got her stool and came to the refrigerator and got Ashley's Wedding Invitation.

By the time Jacob got home, Ellie had the invitation with "her" things and didn't plan to give it up.

I think I have the smartest, most creative grand children. . . . . . .

Ashley Jane Burdett is getting married May 30 in the Salt Lake Temple to Ryan John Pearson.

Mark and I have been invited to the both temple ceremony and a ring ceremony dinner at the Golf Course at 4:30 p.m.

In case you didn't get an invitation, it may be coming as Jacob and Nathan both have theirs already.
