For some reason this is the first time I have ever heard of this award.

The Grand America is the frontrunner in this year's "America's Best Restroom Award." Hotel Operations Director Anthony Bartholomew says the hotel takes great pride in its commodes.
"Who hand-paints the entire bathroom, uses Carrera marble on the floor, carpets from England and chandeliers in each individual stall? No one does that [but us]," he says.
How fancy are the restrooms at the Grand America? Bartholomew says they're so fancy, any time a tour group goes through the hotel they make sure a trip to the loo is on the agenda.
"Anybody who walks into the bathroom sings out praise," Bartholomew says.
He'd love to win this year's award, but Bartholomew says it's an honor just to be nominated. He says the hotel isn't campaigning to win but its guests have started doing that for them.
The contest was started by the Cintas Corporation, the restroom supplies company, almost a decade ago. Past winners include the University of Notre Dame, The Grand Casino in Biloxi, Miss., and Jungle Jim's International Market in Fairfield, Ohio. Survey Director David Brandt says there are two rules. The bathroom has to be very clean and it has to be unique.
"There's incontrovertible proof that most people, if they went into a filthy restroom at an establishment, would never go back to that establishment again. We know that clean, appealing restrooms translate into customer retention and customer satisfaction," he explains.
The winner receives a lot of cleaning supplies, bragging rights and a fine-looking plaque.
"The plaque we gave a couple years ago at a five-star hotel in Nashville sits right outside in their restaurant. It's nice enough to hang in a five star restaurant," Brandt says.
Bathrooms in St. Louis, Fort Wayne, Ind., and two in New York City round out the top five in this year's contest for now. Voting for the country's best bathroom ends August 31.

Riley's Birthday!

I know its really late but, this year Riley got to have his first Birthday party with friends. I was a little scared about doing it having moved I was afraid nobody would come, but it turned out ok. He had a swim party of course cause what else does this kid do. He had lots of fun playing with his friends. He had Lightening McQueen and Tow Mater cupcakes from sam's club, that were so good. We swam a lot and that was pretty much it. Riley is getting really good at swimming he even does flips under the water now. We are all doing good bearing through this heat. I can't wait for fall and cooler weather. Carly starts school soon and she is super excited. Well that's all for now.

Note to JACOB

Jacob texted me he had posted and I read the post shortly after that and completely missed the Susan's triplets baby ball on the side.  I was so distressed that the Dr. guessed Jacob's baby's sex, when obviously, they were not certain. I was thinking,  I hope Jacob is not too disappointed with whatever the sex is of the baby when it finally gets here.

I talked to Susan the next day and she said she had read Jacob's post and Jacob was 80% having a girl and she thought it was a girl even before the ultra-sound.  Susan told me she is going to only have boys.  She is going to have twin boys and that is all.

So I am assuming Susan also didn't notice her baby triplets posted on the side.

Way to go JACOB!

Jacob's dreams of a Hermi might be true!

We have 80% girl, which i'm sure you all know by now, but what you might not know many sons begin life as a girl. Transgender is acceptable to society up until birth (anything goes in the womb), and if kept secret well, is very admissable in many places of america.

The real question we have to decide is: which life is better, life as a women, or life as a man with a very tiny package?

The financial aspects are appauling; Earn lots of money or spend lots of money....

Anyway, cast your vote now for the next grand baby, Daniel or Danielle?

Where's Waldo or in this case the Size 4 Disney-Pixar Brief's?

Jacob and I were in Kohl's together and I found a size 4 pack of Disney-Pixar Multi-character briefs for Riley's birthday.  (Jacob saw I had a size 4 package).

They turned out to be a better sale price than I had planned so I went back and Jacob and I scanned almost the whole section looking for another size 4 package.  I could only find one more package on sale and they were a size 8 which I also purchased.

Elaine called today to tell me she has the size 8 package of briefs.  Unfortunately, the package I still have here is ALSO size 8.

SO what happened to the size 4 package I thought I bought and brought home?  I only ever had a total of 2 packages.

BUT the Kohl's by Riley's house let him trade for any pack the same price and he got a size 4 package of all Disney-Pixar cars.  Happy Birthday Riley.

JACOB GOT A NOISY MUFFLER

Jacob bought a new NOISY muffler on Natasha's car.  It is supposed to improve gas mileage, but when I asked the numbers I am not sure it is worth the expense, and factoring in the noise, I definitely don't think it is a good idea.
