Perry Family Photo- Only the kids

This was posted on my Facebook and I thought, " I don't know Sarah Michelle, I am going to delete her as a friend" and then looked at the picture.  Who is the one whose name is missing?

The leaves in Utah have never been prettier

Yesterday while driving on BYU campus, I couldn't believe how much color there was in the
trees around the campus.

Last week Mark and I and Adam and Anthony and Noah went to Vivian's Park and drove to the top
where you can park and hike.  It was fairly crowded as I am not the only one to notice the colors in Utah.

The hike just about killed me.  The reason Adam is carrying both boys is that by this
time they had decided there was too much to explore to hike down the trail and stay
with us.  Unfortunately, they didn't stay together in their explorations either.

Yesterday the temperature was in the high 60's.  Today the high is supposed to be 69, depending
which source you look at.  It is supposed to rain tomorrow and Tuesday and the temperatures get colder.

Which State Matches Your Personality?

Time has a few questions that match your personality to a state. Explain how I could get Illinois.   You
Try taking the test and post your state in the comments.

Mark got New Mexico
Lindsey got Missouri,
Mary got West Virginia.

Adam got Georgia, twice then changed enough answers to get Florida.
With a few more changes he got North Carolina and finally South Carolina.
To get these states, Adam's answers were far extreme
in both agreeing and disagreeing.

New York Times photo project highlights work of Utah students

A recent New York Times photo project exposed some bright talent in Utah’s high school ranks.
The “My Hometown” slideshow on the Times’ Lens Blog features more than 4,000 images in an attempt to patch together a 21st-century portrait of America, as seen through the lenses of the country’s high schoolers. Of 145 “editors’ picks,” 10 come from Utah students.
Judge Memorial Catholic High School teacher Chris Sloan said he used the project and others like it to teach kids that beyond composing a great photo, they have to find a forum to share their work. Judge Memorial is also involved with a pair of National Geographic projects, KQED Do Now and youthvoices.net.
“It’s real and they’re judged by their peers and professionals,” said Sloan, who compared the Times project to the Farm Security Administration’s influential Great Depression images.
Two of his students, Ben Harvey, 18, and Sean Liston, 16, had work selected by the Times editors. Harvey photographed a long exposure of steel wool sparks. He also photographed a bald eagle at Farmington Bay and saw carp dying from a lack of oxygen in the water.
Other top picks from Utah include:
Derek Hu, 17
Jesus Gonzalez, 17
Gary Hafford, 17
Maksymilian Cegielski-Johnson, 18
Geraldine Gomez, 17
Daela Tipton, 16

Nathan got a Second Job in Deer Valley

Right Now Nathan thinks he can work both of these jobs.  The Prospector Job
is 40 hours a week, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The new job is Night Auditor at the Deer Valley Stag Lodge.  He is hired by
Deer Valley and works at Stag Lodge.  It doesn't start until the end of December.

If he works 4 nights, there are benefits he really wants-- stay tuned.  At least he
doesn't have to decide until ski season peaks, assuming we have good snow by
the end of December.  If not he may have more time to decide.  Nathan's Park City
housing is still pending. . . . . . .

Is this pool open in the winter?

It lasted about one and a half hours.  Look how warm it looks. . . . .
