BYU researchers improve genome assembly, stumble upon signatures for genetic disorders

This is a press release from BYU and is dated January 8, 2016.
It appears at the time of this news release that KSL  and KUTV
had both covered the story.

This says it was published in the  Medical Journal of Bioinformatics, but
there isn't a link in this article.  It appears they are referring to an article
published in 2010.  I can't find the article whatever year it was published.

The lead author is Paul Bodily, a BYU Phd student, and
he developed an algorithm.

The research, published in medical journal Bioinformatics, details how the new algorithm outperforms other methods and the unintended discovery of the algorithm’s ability to detect inversions. 
Previously, inversions have been very difficult to detect, but the researchers believe their method can significantly enhance the process. 
“There are diseases, like autism, that we’re really uncertain as to what causes them,” said senior author Mark Clement, professor in computer science. “To at least have improved tools for detecting a possible cause is important.” 

If Adam is able to figure out his GWAS that will be another
Bioinformatics publication for BYU.  I am guessing 
this one was published in 2015.

Adam is working with Mark Clement, the professor mentioned above
 and the Phd student that taught the Bioinformatics class Adam took.
