River is going to have puppies soon

Nathan thinks River is going to have her puppies soon.  If you touch her stomach
you can feel the puppies moving around.  Poor River!

Nathan made a bed for them and it is in the laundry room.  River looks at it
when she walks by, but when I last checked she hadn't been in the bed yet.

Carly and Riley are sick

Actually it may be Carly and Riley have been sick.  Carly was sick
with stomach flu about 7 days ago.  She missed one day of school
and no one caught it from her until last night when Riley spent
the entire night up sick.  Craig was up with Riley until 6:00 a.m.
this morning.

So. . . it took 7 days for Riley to catch what Carly had, unless
Riley caught it from someone at school.  As of a few hours
ago, Craig and Elaine did not have it yet.

Susan has a part time job at Ethan Allen

Susan is working at the receptionist desk at Ethan Allen on Thursday
and Sunday.  Over 110 people applied for the position and Susan
only got it because Alexander's Mom knew somebody and emailed
them.  It is 30 miles from where Susan lives so Susan is still hoping to
find a full time job closer to her apartment.

V Chocolates is not in Fashion Place Mall Now

Nathan and I were in the Fashion Place Mall and I remembered V Chocolates.
We walked almost through the whole mall only to find there is no V Chocolates
in the Fashion Place Mall.

They still have a web site and a Utah telephone number.  My computer is missing a plug in so I
can't load the locations.

I bought Godiva chocolates, and I still think V Chocolates are better.  On the way out we ran into
Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, but I had already spent a fortune in Godiva.
(In case you can't tell I am having trouble determining whether V chocolates needs a singular or
plural verb.  Note the store I used singular, but the candy I used plural)

Nu Skin named in class action suit

PROVO -- Nu Skin Enterprises has been named as the defendant in a class-action lawsuit filed by stockholder Paul Siesser claiming that the Provo-based company failed to disclose sales practices and false claims related to the company's growth in China.
The suit, filed in the U.S. District Court in Salt Lake City, claims that the company failed to follow U.S. federal securities laws that ban pyramid schemes, which sent public stock prices tumbling.
"This action arises from Nu Skin's failure to disclose its fraudulent sales practices and non-compliance with Chinese laws and regulations," according to the suit.
In January, an article in a Chinese newspaper calling Nu Skin a "suspected illegal pyramid scheme" took a toll on the Provo-based company's stock.
News outlet Bloomberg first reported the falling stock of Nu Skin as it reported that its shares had plummeted nearly 16 percent in light of the article, which also accused Nu Skin of using "brainwashing" techniques on its marketers in China.
Nu Skin issued a statement denying the claims by the People's Daily and said it is working in full compliance with Chinese regulations.
"The article that appeared in today's People's Daily contains inaccuracies and exaggerations that are not representative of Nu Skin's business in China," according to a statement by the company. "The reporters did not attempt to verify any information with Nu Skin. We do not believe that the article was the result of any particular government inquiry."
According to Bloomberg, Nu Skin suffered its largest in-day stock value tumble since October 2004.
The suit filed this week claims that even after its stock began falling, Nu Skin continued to tell investors that "China is a 'growing market for the direct selling industry,' 'hold[ing] great promise' and 'represent[ing] a significant opportunity to expand [Nu Skins] business."
"We believe the allegations are without merit and intend to defend ourselves vigorously," Nu Skin stated in a press release issued in response to the suit.
The suit says that Siesser seeks a jury trial, and damages for class members including interest and attorneys fees as well as "further relief as the Court may deem just and proper."

MTC in Provo

I wonder what they did with the pool.

This morning I talked to J C Taylor, the guy in our ward
that works at the MTC Cafeteria, and worked there
when Jacob was there.  He still works at the MTC
but he is at the new one which is in Raintree Apartments.
None of the Missionaries live in Raintree, it has classrooms
and the Cafeteria.  The Missionaries live at Wymount across
the street.
There are 2 cafeterias for the MTC now, one in Raintree
and the other one.  The one in Raintree is for all the Spanish
Speaking Missionaries and all the other missionaries use
the "other" one.

I am thinking it took major remodeling to get a lunchroom
in the Raintree Apartments.

I can't decide what to call my parent's home. . . . .

All the furniture is finally out of their house.  Except the big table in
the add on room and the mity lite table in the kitchen which
 I hope to get.
The freezer in the basement is gone.  The lid had to be taken
off the freezer, two doors and wooden trim had to be
taken off the house to get it out.

Someone looking at the home had measured the freezer
and told Phil, it was never coming out.
Steven's Josh and Russ  got it out alone and figured
out how to do it according to Steve.

Steve is painting some rooms, we are having 3 windows replaced, and redoing
the entire roof with gravel and keeping the flat roof.

The buyer we had could not qualify for the amount we want from the house.
The man smoked and all 6 of us are really glad they didn't get the house.

It turns out I may have one of the most expensive pieces
of furniture in the house.  It is a small table (maybe end)
but it is about 3 feet high.  I think it was given
to my parents by my Dad's older brother Boyd.
Boyd is now 93 or 94, still alive.
It has sliding dove tail work on the legs.

I have it here and Daddy has covered it with the big heavy
cloth that used to be on the cedar chest, so you can't see it.
I will take a picture later and post it.

We still have some music to sort, records, Mom's closet-
her clothes, and I am not sure what else,  because Dennis
and I divided Dad's "Old" music that we both
wanted yesterday.  Some of the pieces I got are posted
be low.  There are 1943.
