without a driver's license?
Adam lost his wallet yesterday. He knew at 8:00 a.m. his wallet
was missing and that today at 11:00 a.m. he was flying to Florida
for Anthony's Make a Wish trip.
He didn't go get a Driver's License so he could get on the plane.
Further, he didn't find his birth certificate so he could get his
Driver's license.
Late last night he found an old expired UVU photo student ID.
He found an online copy of his current BYU photo student ID.
After they left, 30 minutes late, Daddy found Adam's "old"
expired Driver's License and a current employee badge from
BYU when Adam worked in Physical facilities. I sent him
photos of those.
At any rate if you have a make a wish child the let you on the
airplane.
Acceptable Forms of Identification
All
travelers flying on a domestic flight must present a photo ID issued at the
state or federal level, such as a driver's license, military ID or United
States passport. In addition to these commonly used forms of identification,
passport cards, trusted traveler cards (such as the NEXUS, SENTRI and FAST
cards issued by the Department of Homeland Security), border-crossing cards,
Native American tribal ID cards, airline or airport photo ID cards issued in
compliance with TSA regulations and transportation worker ID credentials also
are acceptable forms of identification.
Lost or Forgotten ID
A lost or forgotten photo ID does not mean that a passenger will be
unable to board his flight. The TSA allows passengers arriving at the security
checkpoint without appropriate identification to still pass through the
checkpoint, as long as they can provide personal information that can be
matched with that found on public databases. However, these travelers may be
required to undergo additional screening. In the event that a passenger's
identity cannot be verified, he will be unable to pass through the screening
area.
Now in a separate issue. Adam's wallet is still missing. It contains
charge cards, debit cards, BYU photo ID, and current Driver's license.
And Adam is in Florida-- or will be shortly-- he is NOT in
Utah to work on fixing this.
