Orem fire that displaced 4 families caused $775K in damage

The fire was during the Priesthood session of General Conference.  These are the buildings directly
north of Sandy Brooke apartments, right behind the duplexes and the slide and picnic
tables.  One of the residents of the Sandy Brooke duplex got a text about the fire and he left the conference session at our stake center when the fire started, taking the bishop and several others with him.

The fire began at 1473 S. 50 East and grew to involve two separate townhome buildings, including four homes, according to Orem Police Sgt. Craig Martinez. All three Orem fire departments, as well as one from Provo, responded to the incident.
None of the 12 occupants were injured
