Trinity Chimes 2010

I played the piano solo Trinity Chimes the Sunday AFTER Christmas, (in this case the day after Christmas).  Three people came up after church to examine the piano.  The first two high school boys looked inside the grand piano at the keys, the third one a man in about his 30's looked on the back side of the piano for something attached to make the chimes.   The two boys came and talked to me after checking out the piano.

I didn't practice much because Craig and Elaine were there all week after I agreed to play, but I worked on crescendo and decrescendo, making the louds and softs more extreme.  It is difficult because the piece is so hard anyway.  It was NOT the best performance I have ever done musically, there were several wrong notes, but I was able to keep the melody going and NOT break time.

I am guessing it may have been the most effective chimes/bells I have ever done in all the years I have played it.  I guess I should keep it out and work on crescendo and decrescendos for next year.

In Provo, one year Sister Garrett told me people were asking her husband how I got the chimes/bells and he told them I turned on the chime button.

P S  Pianos don't have a chime/bell button--organs and keyboards do.
