Daddy's sister Pam, who is 60 years old, has cancer of the liver which
may have spread to the stomach. She is in California with her daughter
Jenifer and her mother Wilma. Pam was in the hospital ICU with internal bleeding for 4-5 days, before they released her to go to a scheduled doctor's appointment with an oncologist and change hospitals.
Jenifer is saying that they are trying to get insurance so she can have
surgery, but if the cancer has spread to the stomach, I don't think
they will operate.
Pam had a hysterectomy a few years ago and she is saying that was
cancer, so this may have spread from the female organs which would
be worse than ever.

Boyd Patten fell and broke his hip
Boyd, my father's 92 year old brother fell and broke his hip last week.
He lives in St. George with his wife. He spent 4 days in the hospital and is
now in rehab close to the hospital in St. George. He did not have to have
surgery.
He is diabetic and is having problems with his diabetes. The fall has
really aged him and he is not doing well.
I have been looking for a photo since he fell. I will post one when I find one.

My aunt Margaret died. She was 93.
Margaret is the older sister to my father William. I will miss her as I have really enjoyed talking to her since my mother died. She was alert, with an excellent memory until about 3 months prior to her death. She drove her car until she was 90.

Carly and Riley are my only Grandchildren that didn't wake up to snow on their grass Thursday!
Carly is the only one in her class that is missing three front teeth. The girl in her
class that was missing two front teeth before school started is still missing both
teeth. Carly lost all of her teeth since school started and none of them are growing
back yet.
Riley is getting A's on all of his work and his teacher says he is her favorite
student.
P S It snowed in the mountains and enough to cover the grass. The snow
on the grass melted, but the snow goes halfway down Timpanogos mountain.

Guess Who has an iPhone 5?
"It's way better than it's cracked up to be," according to the new owner.
Clue: This is our family member who appears to be Apple's biggest fan.
The phone is lighter and the screen is bigger than my iPhone. You can ask
it questions vocally and get an answer vocally. I am wondering how it would
be for Adam's homework.
You can also send voice text messages, which would save me lots of correction
time.
In case you didn't know, it is extremely difficult to get one of these and you may
want to ask for tips if you know someone who wants to buy one now. Apple
is having trouble meeting the consumer demand at present.

Ellie and I went to eat at Cracker Barrel Restaurant
Ellie noticed the things on the wall. Ellie's favorite foods there were the hash brown
casserole, turkey sausage patties, and pumpkin custard. Ellie doesn't like water without
ice. (Jacob went with us and paid for the Breakfast)
Ellie is talking in sentences and says what you say, + she listens to your conversations.
Jacob said "Oh what a mess" and Ellie said it right after him.
